Yes this is normal as the partitionning did not work properly.
There seems to be a crash when metis is called.

Could you try to compile metis on a node of your cluster.
You can do that with a batch script containing something like that:
...
module load gnu or intel
cd telemac_path/optionals/metis-5.1.0
cmake .
make

replacing telemac_path by the path to your telemac installation.

Have you solved your problem?

I faced issues the same as yours before. I am now able to run Telemac in parallel mode on an individual machine as well as on a MPI Cluster based on both Debian 8 and CentOS 7.

The configuration in indeed confusing enough and hard to be described clearly in text messages. If you need I can do it for you remotely using TeamViewer.
