I'm new to this program and I'm trying to compile my trusty Ubuntu system (14.04LTS) but I had some problems with the SYSTELCFG file.

install and configure for Python 2.7 system attached form and I get this error (file2)

if I should not have GCC (x86_64-linux-gnu) and Python in the same folder opentelemac or if I'm doing something wrong

I think your system is fine -- the problem seems to come from the library metis, which the TELEMAC scripts cannot find.

You should be able to download that library and compile on system with the same compiler as you use for the rest of TELEMAC. Do use vesion 5.0 or above. It is important.

I attached the steps I did to configure the files required TELEMAC.
