Hi everybody,
I have a question regarding the bed change simulation in Telemac and I wonder if you could help me.
In the existing examples of telemac there is an example called "bosse-t3d" which can be used to simulate bed changes for a hump. I have attached it to this message (the original example of the telemac which is in French). But the point is that it ignores side wall friction for the walls. I want to add side wall friction to that (which is going to be different with bed friction) in order to get non-uniform changes for bed. But it is not working at all.
I add law of friction on lateral boundaries, and friction coefficient for lateral solid boundaries (Of course in French) to the original steering file but I do not get non-uniform bed changes. :( :(
I wonder if you have any idea.
Thank you so much in advance.

Hello,

for finding a solution it would be better if you would enclose your modified T3D steering file. What I can say is that in T3D the side wall friction works and so you should see the differences e.g. in the velocities and the bed shear stresses. The only law for side wall friction implemented is the Nikuradse law (which is reasonable).

Hope this helps,
Clemens
