Hi all!

I just installed v7p2 and I'm trying to run the heat_exchange example. But my simulation won't start (any other simulation won't start either). I tried both in parallell and on one core, but neither works.

When I kill the cmd-window, the sortie-file simply says:

"mpiexec aborting job...".

I attach my systel.cfg file if that could help.

I think the error is that you mpi is not register.
You can find the procedure to do that here:

Another option is that mpi waiting for the login and password but as me are in a python script launching, we don't see the request.
This problem is easy to check.
Cancel the computation, go into the temporary directory and manually type the full command which appear on the top of your command windows (mpiexec...)
By this method you should see the request of login/password

I tried to register the mpi installation with the solution in the link, but when I checked it by typing 'mpiexec -validate' in user shell it returned FAIL. Do you know what this could be due to? Thanks.

you need to run miexec -register
And enter your windows login/password

That should do the trick

The problem is that you replace the login [DESKTOP...\yunha] by your name which is incorrect just press enter instead.

Thanks for your patience it shows SUCCESS now, but when I try to run an example in parallel mode the simulation doesn't start either (get stuck after showing the 'TELEMAC-V7p2' header).

I chose automatic installation on my Windows 10 laptop, which was followed by a failure, then I followed the instructions in this link (wiki.opentelemac.org/doku.php?id=instruc...tomatic_installation) to create two shortcuts, one is for scalar mode and the other is parallel mode. In scalar mode Telemac examples can be ran successfully but when running my own case (I have successfully run the same case in version V7p1 in both scalar and parallel mode), error showed up as listed below:

While in parallel mode even Telemac examples cannot get started to run, which is the situation I described in the beginning. Attached you can find the configuration file for scalar and parallel mode, I don't know where the problem is, hope to here from you. Thank you in advance!

Thanks for your fast replies. The issue was somewhere within my local network with some kind of account denial. Anyways the problem is solved and I am up and running.
