One more thing, just to make sure (although this should not be a problem), can you make sure there are no tabs in your CAS file (only space characters).

I did what you recommended and tried to start a very simple simulation, but still got the same problem (logical unit 3).

There are no tabs in my cas file.

I did install v6p2 at work (winXP on linux network) and at home (win7). Every time compilation went well (my work is done) but the exact same problem appears when running a simulation. Since I did not find any similar problem on this forum, I tend to think that I must do something wrong...so I'll keep on searching, re-install from the beginning, and I'll keep you informed if something changes.
