Your version number is wrong in your config file:
It is +> version: v6p2r2
It should be +> version: v6p2

Still no luck, for some reason now when I put in opentelemac\v6p2r2\pytel\compileTELEMAC.py, nothing happens at all. I had a look in the pytel folder and the compileTELEMAC.py file is 0kB, surely this cannot be correct?! The file also has a white exclamation mark with a red circle around it positioned on the bottom left of the file, however it doesn't change when I attempt to update it through the SVN.

instead of svn update, try revert.
