Thank you for your prompt response.

I had already tried several times to install from the automatic installer, but it always gave the same error.

This time I rebooted my system and tried again (several times). This installed everything (all sources are there) and it compiled the scalar version but gave me the following error in the Parallel compilation.

The directory win7gfors has \bin and \lib which seems complete
The directory wing64mpi\bin is empty
wing64mpi\lib contains only Tomawac and until
The directories mpich2\include and mpich2\lib have only one file each
The directories mpich2\bin is missing
What else can I test to help you debug the problem?

It seems that mpich2 has not been installed properly.

First question - Did you have mpich2 already installed before running the installer ?

Second question - When running the installer, was the mpich2 box checked ?

I think I install it on the right way(the first time is fail, but the second time is on the right way), but I don't know how to run the exist simulation.

I run the codes 'telemac2d.py steering.cas' it shows up

'Python' is not recognized as an internal or exteranl command.

I read the solution on this Forum. Than I run 'runcode.py telemac2d - s steering.cas' it show up as the attachment


I also try to change the 'sterring' to other exsiting example, it is also not work.

Any suggestions?


I have another question, If I success runing the example, how could I see the simulation result.

Usually, to run an existing test case, you need for example, to be in the following folder :

C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v6p3\examples\telemac2d\bumpflu

Next, run the following command :

If you have used the automatic installer, you should run the command from the shortcut created by the installer.

If you succeed to run the test case the sentence "my work is done" will be displayed and the results will be in the same folder :

C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v6p3\examples\telemac2d\bumpflu

If you still have the error that telemac2d.py is not recognized as an internal or external command, would you type "path" in your DOS command and send the output to me ?

I follow your suggestion, the problem is the same.

my steps is as follow:
'cd exeample'
'cd telemac2d'

'telemac2d.py t2d-bumpflu.cas'

It is the same problem as before.

I attach the 'path'

I have the same problem of Thierry. I'm running Telemac automatic installation on a Windows 7 VM. Did Marcus had the same problem? How did you solved that problem Marcus?

Solved... it was a connection problem (due to connection loss).

My problem is still not solved, is any one could help me to solve it. many thanks.
