I had no problems installing Version 6.3 but I have not been able to run any simulations. The python commands are not recognized. Do I need to change the windows path? eg I when I type in "telemac2d steering.cas " I get the following error message:

'telemac2d' is not recognized as internal or external command or batch file.

FYI I changed the path to include the python27 directory but this did not solve my problem. Any suggestions?

Hello Kwan,

Try adding the Python extension after your telemac2d command (i.e. "telemac2d.py steering.cas"). I had your same problem and this seemed to fix it.

Best regards,
Chris

Hello. Whenever I try to run a test case using FUDAA-prepro 1.3, the following error comes:

"python" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Earlier, I was getting the error FATAL: Module inaccessible.

BEGIN failed--compinlation aborted at c:\TELEMAC\V6P0\bin/runtel.pl line 273.

Then I went to Edition-->Preferences-->Modelling System and added the following path:
C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v6p3\win7gfors\scripts\python27

I have attached the screenshot of the error. I am using the latest FUDAA prepro and I have Win7-64 bit OS. And I have taken care of the environmental variables.

Hi

Please avoid multiple posts of the same message!
As already answered 2 options:
  • python is not installed on your computer
  • python is installed but you don't update your path

www.opentelemac.org/downloads/Installati...ws-installer-3.0.exe

when the installer looked for the open telemac-mascared code, I received an error messege.

What is wrong?

Did you use automatic installer? If you do that way, you can try it again, make sure that your internet connection is good. First time when I installed TELEMAC I also got this problem, but I successfully installed it at 2nd time.

I have successfully installed telemac v7p1r0 as follows:

1-Uninstall all the previous versions and delet the folder opentelemac from the installing directory

2-Log in in www.opentelemac.org/ and open the svn repository in web browser:

svn.opentelemac.org/svn/opentelemac/tags/v7p1r0/

Username: ot-svn-public
Password: telemac1*

3- Download the automatic installation file:

www.opentelemac.org/index.php/component/...ac-windows?Itemid=54

and run it

install the pre requisites and try to run the source code

you will get the same error

4- Close the svn repository window and run the automatic installation file again, but this time uncheck the Pre requisites when asked for.

It should works

Best Regards

Martin
