open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi everybody!

I am Flavio Giuffra, an italian student and I am doing a thesis project using to use the Mascaret suite (the 2-D hydraulic model to be precise).

Trying to use the automatic procedure for Mascaret installation on windows, I got the following error (see picture attached). The italian part means "syntax of the filename, folder or volume is not correct".

Can you help me? Thank you in advance for your kind availability.

it seems that the name and/or the path of your folder is not accepted, probably because the use of special characters.
retry the automatic installation by choosing more classical names. If you have the same error, you can end the installation manually by executing the steps described in the installation rubrique opentelemac.org/index.php/installation.

Deay Mr. ATA,
I followed your advice. But there is again the problem which cancel my installation.
I deal with the problem in relation with the internet connection (as you see in the picture), whereas I have internet acces. Could you please help me again in this way.
The problem comme along when the 2nd part begin: Open Telemac Mascaret code while check_internet_connexion file.

I have done in other way the manuel installation but it does n't help the complet installation.

Is there a proxy for your internet connexion ?
That could be the source of the problem.
You can try laucnhing the command check_connexion directly from a dos terminal and see what you get.

Dear Arthur,
according to my personal experience, I suggest you tu use another system. In fact I solved that problem using Ubuntu on a virtual machine.

Unfortunately, I don't know what is wrong. The download works fine on my PC and no one ever had a problem to download it.
