open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hallo,

Im new with Telemac and i need some help if anybody can plz.

I have:
windows 7 (64 bit)
gfortran - 4.8.1
python - 2.7
tortoise SVN.

I execute C:\opentelemac\v6p3r2\scripts\python27\compileTELEMAC.py, i also copy-paste and change name to ''systel.cis-windows7.cfg''to ''systel.cfg'' at the same file (configs) and i got this error (I am trying to compile with the SVN)...ANY IDEAS?

Hi John,

I am unsure what is wrong in your compilation.

First I would suggest to download the latest version v7p0.

You can also use the automatic installer, which will download and set-up everything for you.

if the installation fails try finishing the installation manually following instructions on the following web page

is just to install V7p0 or can use it to install V6p2 because in my case I need to install V6p2 not V7p0 and I see with this link it's very simple to do the installation and to finish it manually ,because I think there are some problem in the automatic installation of V6p2 so is it possible for exemple instead to write V7p0 in the next expression I write V6p2,

Yes, if you really need to use v6p2, then I don't recommend the automatic installation.

I try to install V6p2 using the the link of the latest versions but it didn't work, so I use the automatic installaer of V6p2 here I find this error when I do the compilation ( I chnaged the name of the systel but the same error:

C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v6p2>compileTELEMAC.py

The error means Telemac cannot find your configuration file.

The Telemac structure has changed since v6p3. That is why, I would strongly recommend to update your work to v7p0.

That said - Your configuration file should not be in C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v6p2\configs\ but in C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v6p2\config\ (no 's' at the end of config)

So you have to update the path indicating where you config file is. this is probably in the properties of the telemac shortcut

I followed your advise and i am trying to install the v7p0 automatic version that you send to me earlier. I had errors so i took these steps (wiki.opentelemac.org/doku.php?id=instruc...tomatic_installation) and i have almost the same problem as faracha.

i had also problem with the path (/E:ON /V:ON /K set SYSTELCFG=C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v7p0\configs\systel_v7p0.cfg && PATH=C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v7p0\scripts\python27;!PATH!). PC cant recognize this path..

i have 2 disks (C and D) and i work on C. What am i doing wrong?

the path is good. You need to edit your config file.

Open and edit the file systel_v7p0.cfg which is in C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v7p0\configs

edit the root path to C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v7p0 and try again the compilation

it is not the same problem. Your first problem was about Telemac not finding your config. Now there something wrong IN your config file.

Can you please share your config file.

Also you cannot compare your problem with John's problem as v6p2 and v7p0 are really different.
