Hello everyone,
I installed v7p0 maually and the scalar version is OK while the parallel one would not compile sucessfully at any try. So this time I turned to the auto installer for all the PreRequisites for another try, but also with problems. The *.cfg could be seen below, the error information also attached. I have tried both the ifort and gfortran compiler, which showed different errors. Could someone have a look at them, and give me some advice?
BTW, there are some chinese characters I have translated into English in yellow text.

Hello,

the configuration of the v7p0 has changed a little, in particular because the subroutine PLANTE (from the module special) now calls on MPI.

I have attached here the latest for windows with all 4 configurations. Please note that the METIS lib are not the same for ifort and gfortran.

Hope this helps,
Sébastien

Dear sebourban,
Thank you very much for your help, it has got success with the gfortran one finally. Glad to be able to run the parallel one.

Good Day,

Viola

Hello Sebastien,

The configuration file you have posted is debug oriented and is fundamentally different to the one included in the v7p0r1 tag downloaded from the repository and used to compile the telemac system.

Are these changes from a future release or they are applicable to v7p0r1?

I admit I am confused...

Regards,
Costas

Well spotted.

Of course, you can change the compiler debug option to the optimized options. It would work the same.

The configuration we distributed with v7p0 should still work the same way (although you have to add incs_special to the parallel configuration).

I think the changes you see are the simplifications we brought in to the configuration: a [general] section (so to avoid having to repeat all keys all the time), and the absence of root and version, which makes it more generic to any version of install.

In fact, this is the configuration we are now using for the live validation of the system on windows operating system ( as you could guess from the name systel.cis-windows7.cfg). Again, user configuration can differ.

What are the aspect you are not sure about ?
Is there anything you would like us to change ?

Sébastien.

Are these changes part of a future release or they are already implemented in v7p0r1? If they are already implemented, why isn't this file included in the tag in the first place? I don't mean the changes just in the cfg file, but also the ones from the module special.

Indeed, they are part of the v7p0 tag (including the requirement for special). It is just that the example given for the windows' configuration does not include a parallel example. The Linux configurations do though.

I'll ask Juliette if the automated installer for windows (tag v7p0) has those or not, and correct if necessary.

We will add as many configurations as we can think off in our next release (v7p1) now coming soon.

Hope this helps,
Sébastien.

Hello Sebastien,

I just checked most of the .cfg files in my config folder (v7p0r1) and none contained any reference to a special module. Are you sure it is part of the v7p0 tag? Note that, I download and compile from the repository, I do not use the automatic installer.
