open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Good morning,

I've have been trying to use the automatic installer for windows from the download area. All the required prerequisites are installed without problem, but when the telemac installer starts, after a python command window opens and closes automatically, I get a window saying:

There has been an error.
Error running cmd.exe/c
PATH=C:\opentelemac-mascaret\python27;%PATH%&&
C:\opentelemac-mascaret\svnrepositry.py : Program ended with an error exit code
The application will exit now

I have manually added the python27 path to my environment variables but still seem to get the same error. The file svnrepositry.py does not seem to exist.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have also tried manual installion with pre-compiled binaries but got an error there too.

My machine is running windows 7.0 and is 64bit

I also experienced the same problem recently.
In fact, repositry.py exists as it is create by the automatic installer at the first launch but it is delete when the crash arise.
In fact, I think there is a bug in the repositry.py script

The solution (bypass) is to launch the automatic installer.
When the repositry.py file appear, you should correct the bug before going further in the installation.
The error I found was in line 43 where I changed "versions" by "version2".
This correction should be validate by Juliette or Sebastien at HRW but it worked for me.

I tried to install version 5.2, but has not installed Telemac , when I start the installation of TELEMAC with Python I have this error.
Please help.

Not sure what happened as the bug Christophe spotted is now fixed.

Did you install Python with the TELEMAC automatic installer or did you have Python already installed?

You can try finishing manually the installation by following instructions on the following page:

I am trying the manual installation steps of TELEMAC from the above linked walkthrough (wiki.opentelemac.org/doku.php?id=instruc...tomatic_installation). Could someone please explain how to do step 3 "copy configuration file"? Excuse my scripting ignorance.

I have received the attached error (which is slightly different to the other ones discussed in this thread) when using the TELEMAC 5.2 automatic installer. All prerequisite installations worked, except the last stage of TELEMAC, causing the installation to exit. Please help. I have been trying to get this program to work for days now.
