open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

After I installed the "opentelemacmascaret-5.2-windows-installer", I ran an .cas(attached please find the "1.png")，however, TELEMAC didn't run this .cas but opened it by Notepad("2.png")

And I tried to input "compileTELEMAC.py"("3.png") , it was also opened by Notepad("4.png")

python telemac2d.py t2d_bumpflu.cas

it is just a guess, but ae your python files registered as python files? That means, is there a python symbol in front of the file name? You can check this also in the proberties of the file ..
(Sorry if you already checked this).

if you right click with your mouse on a .py file and open the proberties, what is listed in the "general" tab?




Is is listed as python file there?

Thank you anyway, you inspired me. I find that my python file was opened with Notepad, so I changed it to open with python.exe, then TELEMAC worked well.

You should be logical in your actions. This is only a problem of file location.

In the directory of the example (where the file t2d_bumpflu.cas is) you have to enter:
python c:\[path to telemac script directory]\telemac2d.py t2d_bumpflu.cas

PS: the solution described by gabi is just to avoid typing all path and directly allow your computer to recognize python file...
