Hi All,
I am running a coastal model using TPXO tidal data base as boundary condition. The model runs fine with Telemac2D. When I run it with Telemac3D (which is my final goal by the way), the model runs but I have NaN results in the sortie file (NaN flux at boundary and masses). When I check the graphic results in BlueKenue, I found that only the open boundary nodes have values different from the initial conditions.
I have checked with two versions of Telemac v7p1r1 and v6p3r2, with similar results.
I am very greatfull for ideas.

This maybe to do with you initial conditions or the time step maybe reduce your time step significantly to see if it runs. You should post your CAS file and boundary file and batty files.

Thanks for your response. I found out that the problem was related to friction coefficient written in the geo file with the value set 0.

Hi yohannis,

I am running a model with TPXO tidal data and has the same error. Has you solved your problem yet? Could you share your CAS with me?

Thanks & Best Regards
Huy

Hi Huy,
yes, my problem is solved. The problem was related to 0 friction coefficient set in the geometry file.
Attached find a CAS file.

Kind regards,
Yohannis

Thanks Yohannis,

But when I try to test the same parameters in your CAS file (just change the input files), but I get weird results

Have you/other users faced this before? What problem is this? Do you have any suggestion?

Best Regqards
Huy

I had similar problem and it was related to friction coefficient set to zero in the geometry file. Friction coefficient if given in the geo file has apparently priority over that defined in the case file.

Great! It would be useful for other users if you could share how you solved your probem.
