Thanks for the tip, it makes sense.
But do you mean that I should just add source_trac.f to my fortran file?
In source_trac.f is already uncommented where it calls the module exchange with atmosphere...

Yes, I think the source_trac.f should be included in your fortran file and modified as needed (Latitude, Longitude, etc)

Hello,

unfortunately I still have the same problems on this case, even if I include source_trac.f with secchi depth and solar radiation... what I find strange is that the temperature of water in the model is decreasing a lot in the shallow areas, even when the air temperature given in the meteo file is increasing again relevantly after few hours up to 37°C (shallow areas lower than 4 m depth and temperature stays lower than 20°C there...!), even because I have no rain and zero nebulosity, it should increase much more together with the air temperature..

Hello

I have a question regarding the heat exchange module of version 7.0.1 (user manual p. 56-7)

- the calibration coefficient b : is it a parameter depending on the location and other conditions (shores of the Channel and the Atlantic around 0.0025; Mediterranean ca. 0.0035, as written in Hervouet 2007)? So, for an area located in Pernambuco, NE Brazil should be the value closer to 0.0017?

Thanks

Regards

Hello,

I have no idea of what value should be given to this parameter for your location, but this parameter is a calibration parameter. I would say choose the value that give you the best results.

I would also suggest you to use the latest version available (v7p2r1). There has been a big change with the computation of the heat exchange with atmosphere in the WAQTEL module but several bugs have been corrected for 2 years.

Hello,

thank you for the tip regarding the version. In order to see the chnages condicuted between v7p0r1 and v7p2r0, should I only check the repository here svn.opentelemac.org/svn/opentelemac/tags/v7p2r0/ or is there somewhere an updated manual? In the list of the manuals to download here www.opentelemac.org/index.php/component/...archresult?Itemid=55 I do not find the latest version and in the v7p1 version there is no WAQTEL module.

Thank you
