hi, I am a new user of telemac3d, Is there a tutorial or documentation like the one that is provided for telemac2d ?. I am trying to model sediments entering a sewer tube and see the effects it has on the section of the tube during a flash flood.

I have zero experience whit telemac3d (meshing, boundary conditions, etc), and reasonable experience using telemac2d.

Is this even possible using the tools provided by OpenTelemac?
I would appreciate if somebody could help me out in this topic, this is part of my thesis on flash flood risk assessment.

greetings,
Chelo.

Hello Chelo

There is reasonably the same amount of documentation for Telemac-3D than for Telemac-2D. You will find everything in section Manuals of this webpage.
If you are familiar with Telemac-2D you will be in ease with the use of Telemac-3D, since there is no additional pre-processing steps needed for the generation of the 3D model based on the 2D one.

However, an important question that you need to ask yourself is: Is the problem you want to tackle can be simulated by Telemac-3D or not. Based on the description you've given, it seems that the domain (sewer tube, Circular ?) is out of the application range of Telemac-3D; unless you make several raw assumptions.

With my best regards

Riadh ATA
