I have run the telemac3d example particles.

It ran to completion with no errors noted. Please note the comment on what i am running in the previous submission.

Attached is the particle plot (done with qgis marking each particle with a tag colour).

Just to confirm that you also changed the DERIVE definition to include zstar and nplan, and used the variable ZCHAR for ZSTAR in the call from telemac3d.

If this does not solve it I can do a diff between the original derive source and my running code.

Though I tried to limit the code changes to DERIVE only as this is the routine that drives the particle tracking as opposed to the characteristics code for velocity and KE. I realised early that no changes should be made to the characteristics code because it is used across a number of areas.

Hello !

I am running T3D V7P2R0 (MPI).
In my steering file I have :
"TRANSFORMATION DU MAILLAGE =3"
-> sigma levels between surface and 2m, and then fixed Z levels.

I am doing some tests with particles.

I cannot initialize Z positions of particles under 2m depth.
With particles initialized above 2m depth, the run starts well, computes consistent trajectories, but then crashed with :
"SORTIE EN VERTICALE PAR FRONTIERE LIQUIDE
CAS NON PROGRAMME"

Do I have to update my version of T3D ?
Is it possible to get the modified DERIVE routine ?

This is the same problem as j_floyd 3 months ago. This was solved in the trunk and it is now fixed in the new tag v7p2r1 available since this morning.
