Hello,

I need to carry out a simulation in 3d where i need to give spatially varyinh friction coefficients in all x, y and z directions. How to incorporate this in the solver?

Thanks

Hi Vks,

You can modify subroutine CORSTR for imposing friction coefficients at different locations. Or you can add a variable in your geometry file and name it as BOTTOM FRICTION. Telemac will read it automatically.

By the way, why do you have to give friction coefficients in z direction? I suppose the friction only exists at bottom?

Hello,
I need to block few nodes along vertical direction in order to implement blockage upto certain height from the bottom. I suppose this feature cant be done by using telemac solver. As an alternative i just looked for vertically varying friction coefficient.
