Premature end of run without error message? 7 years 3 months ago #27476

Hi!

I am trying to run a Telemac-3D simulation in version v7p0r1. The simulation seems to end prematurely and I am not able to find out why.

I have:
DURATION = 43200
TIME STEP = 2 /seconds

which means that the simulation should go for 1 day. It, however, stops after 13 hours. The sortie-file says "Correct end of run".

I have looked at the result files and the variables seems reasonable.

Does anybody have any suggestions what the problem may be?

Please let me know if you need additional information about my simulation.

Thanks in advanced!

Kind regards,

Patricia

On the other side, you are asking for a model duration equal to 43200 seconds, i.e. 12 hours. If you want to run for one day then you should set DURATION = 86400.

Thanks a lot! I had misunderstood the meaning of duration! Thought it was nr of time steps... (I am totally new to Telemac). :blush:

Kind regards,

Patricia

According to the Telemac3D manual from the trunk, if you had also provided the NUMBER OF TIMESTEPS, then "...TELEMAC-3D follows the instruction leading to the longest computation.".
