Hi forum!

I have run a simulation for quite some time and unfortunately it crashed at the last time step since my wind file was just one time step too short. I tried to merge the results without success.

Is it possible to merge the results somehow. For instance, it would be nice to be able to choose at what time step the merge should be perfomed?

Any ideas?

Hello Schmirre,

This question has arisen before. Look at post #26366.

I do not know if it is possible to merge the results from a specific timestep though... But I know after you merge the results you can chop out the timesteps you don't need.

Regards,
Costas

Hi Costas!

Thanks for a fast reply!

This is exactly what I've tried, but since my run is incomplete it is not possible to merge through this script.

Can you open each of the partitioned result files in BK?

Do all the result files have the same number of timesteps?

Yes. The simulation was aborted because the wind file was too short, so they all have the same time step.

This is strange. Can you post the full output listing by appending '>output.txt' at the end of your merge command? How big are your files? What version are you using?

I am using version v7p1r1 and my files are approximately in the range of 5-10 GB.

You mean something like this:

runcode.py --merge -w ....cas_2017-11-29-16h28min41s telemac3d t3dcas -c win7gforp '>output.txt'?

EDIT: Output.txt attached.

You need to specify the code in the merge command, or use 'telemac3d.py' in place of 'runcode.py'. Can you try again?
