Dear all,

Currently, I comparing the simulation result between TELEMAC2D/SISYPHE and TELEMAC3D/SISYPHE.

I though there are some model concept difference between TELEMAC2D/SISYPHE and TELEMAC3D/SISYPHE. But when I compared it, I found the simulation results are more or less the same.

In this time, I the TELEMAC3D geometry is the same with 2d, and boundary conditions file **.cli are also the same.

So, any ideas about the difference between TELEMAC2D/SISYPHE and TELEMAC3D/SISYPHE ??

Many thanks

Weiwei

For me, I think the skin friction correction is much difference between them those 2 coupling.

In my TELEMAC3D CASE, I didn't add the plnnes in Z direction, Now, I want to add it. which parameters should I use ??

the parameter is the 'NUMBER OF HORIZONTAL LEVELS '

I Still want to know the differentc between TELEMAC2D/SISYPHE and TELEMAC3D/SISYPHE ??

Dear Harry,
Thanks for your post. Depending on the characteristics of your problem (geometry, flow conditions, etc.), numerical simulations perfomed with T3D+SIS and T2D+SIS can exhibit similar results. The differences can be more evident if your problem presents a 3D field that differs from the depth-averaged variables computed from a 2D simulation (such as helicoidal flows, variations in the vertical velocities, no-hydrostatic hypothesis, etc.).

I hope it helps,

Pablo
