Hi everyone,

I am looking for the subroutines and modules that creating 3D mesh from 2D mesh in telemac 3D and the way to access the all parameters such as point no., element no., connectivity, area, volume ...etc in order to solve my own PDEs model and coupling with hydrodynamic TELE 3D. I found some subroutines such as calcot.f and mesh_prop.f but I couldnt see the way how to build 3D mesh connectivity table, and other necessary parameters except the elevation ZZ which is well defined for each layers in different methods.

Your helps are appreciated!

Hello,

What you need to look at is the guide for programming in the Telemac system, which is available on this site. You will find the description of the Selafin format containing the geometry (and results), and the various data structures. However be aware that the subroutines reading and writing such selafin files will be changed in the next version, for the sake of interoperability and also to deal with other formats.

With best regards,

Hello dear Jean-Michel Hervouet,

Thank you so much for your quick reply and always support. Actually, I looked at the user programming manual which is written for v6.0 and I tried to navigate and search through the source code in order to understand how and which subroutines are used to build 3D mesh based on 2D mesh. I want to write my own program in order to simulate sub-surface flow coupled with surface flow and for that purpose I need to build a 3D mesh between the bottom elevation Z ( elevation of 2D mesh) and assumed datum say zero level and this will made by inverting the way building 3D mesh for Telemac 3D between bottom elev. Z and water surface H ( instead of H here we need to give the datum value).

Kind Regards,
AMANJ
