Is it possible to include a weir in Telemac 3D?
Is it possible to couple a sink with a source in Telemac 3D?

Thanks in advance,
Charlotta

Hello Charlotta,

1) Actually their is no weir so far in Telemac-3D like there is in Telemac-2D, this would raise the problem of the 3D velocity profile, but depending on the type of weir you could try to include it as a bottom topography (weirs are necessary in 2D because there may be an error of 20% of the discharge on the weir due to the Shallow Water Equations, but Navier-Stokes equations should give the correct result, so it is not really mandatory to model them by cutting the mesh and resorting to empirical formulas).

2) No, unless you program it yourself, this is being done for the next version, so that it works like in Telemac-2D, with additionnal possibilities and shapes of culverts.

With best regards,
