Hello,

I would like to know if is possible to set a liquid boundary with prescribed inflow and zero outflow.

I need to impose diffuse discharge from small basins along my model domain in different sectors, as you can see in the attached picture. In this case I would like to consider inflow only.

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

With best regards.

Hello,

This is not totally clear. If you mean inflow through a liquid boundary, zero outflow is also zero inflow so all in all you have only inflow ? Anyway combining inflow and outflow on the same boundary, depending on time, is possible, though your problem should remain well-posed.

Dear Jean-Michel,

Thank you for your help.

My intention is to incorporate runoff fresh water effect due to small basins along the coast line of my model. However, this flux shall be only from outside to inside of my domain.

For example, if I use a typical liquid boundary with prescribed discharge and tracer (LIBHOR=4, LIUBOR=5, LIVBOR=5, LITBOR=5) along an specific sector (see figure), I think that it will occur bi-directional flux in the boundary like a typical estuarine river.

This manner, I need a boundary type that allows only unidirectional flux along the sectors boundaries, and block the flux outside-ward of my model domain.

Hello,

So this would be rather sources given on some points, with a prescribed positive discharge, whatever the flow around. However these source points have to be inside the domain, not on a boundary.

JMH
