Hello,
I have simulated 3d case by imposing space and time dependent velocity and elevation along the open boundary(using modified bord3d.f). On using LAW OF BOTTOM FRICTION = 4 (Manning), the velocity at the bottom layer seems unaffected with change in FRICTION COEFFICIENT FOR THE BOTTOM from 0.01 to 100 !. Why would the velocity remain unaffected? Is there any KEWWORD missing which I have to use in addition to the LAW OF FRICTION & FRICTION COEFFICIENT FOR THE BOTTOM(so that I can see the velocity getting affected)?

Thanks
vks

Hello

You can use the keyword VELOCITY VERTICAL PROFILES =2 (logarithmic profile)
Otherwise use =0 and in this case you have to implement the profile by yourself.

I hope that this helps
