Merging individual .res-files. 8 years 5 months ago #21931

Hello!

I'm new both to the forum and to TELEMAC modelling so i might be asking obvious questions.

I'm wondering if there is a way to merge individual .res-files. I just finished modelling a fairly large coastal area (for about 60 days). My plan is to model an even longer period, maybe around 6 months. If i use a continued computation from my previous results and keep running the simulation for, say another 60 days, is there a way to merge the two separate .res-files into one? It would make the post-processing much easier if I could have the whole computation in one file.

Thanks!

Hi
Are you sure you want to merge the results?
this will leads you to obtain a huge result file which will be hard to manipulate with post processors...

Anyway, I'm not sure there is a merger already available but it's not really hard to create one with the python scripts available.
Read and write the first result
Read and write the second result without all the header part which stay the same (just write the result in time)...

Hope this helps
Christophe
