open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

I am very new to the Telemac suite of software. I am trying to simulate the development of bars in a flume. So, I started out by modifying the bar propagation example, which is pretty similar to what I want to do.

The obvious difference is the geometry. So, I started out with it. Actually my domain is just a smaller flume than the example. So I made slf and cli files and ran it with the same case files. It is not working and giving me NaN entering and Nan exiting.

I am not quite sure how to deal with this. I am very new to this and would appreciate any suggestions.

Two points:
(1) please first check that you problem is within the range of instabilities in which bars are formed (the beta coefficient beta=h/L, with L the channel width see papers from Zolezzi, Seminara, etc.).

(2) As you are starting a problem from scratch, you'll need to (i) have a 'clean' hydrodynamics that will serve you as hotstart for your (ii) morphodynamics/bar problem.

Please proceed step by step, moving towards the more complex aspects of your application. You can also take a look to our article appeared last year in JHE (Mendoza et al., 2016).
