Hello,

I have a problem, i nedd model bedload on fixed bed.

The results are very confusing, observing the flow of water gives a value of 0 m3 /s at an outlet of my channel (running water without sediment does not happen), and in bedload flux results in 0 m3/s. An erosion also occurs when my channel is concrete.
The values ​​for the channel outlet are LIQBOR =5, LIEBOR=4 and Q2BOR = value in m2/s ;for the channel inlet are LIQBOR =5, lIEBOR=5 AND Q2BOR= value in m2/s (specified in file sis.cli).
Lastly I specify in my GEO file the geometry of my channel a variable 23 with value 1 of non-erosionable.
Can someone please help me .

Hello Yesenia,

I do not know if I understand well what you want to model.
I would like you to be more specific in several points.

1) Is the bottom erodible? If not, why did not use noerod.f?.
2) Does it have a solid discharge at inflow?.
3) What (according to you) does represent VARIABLE23?.
4) Could you please attach all your files (geometry, steering, boundary, liquid, etc.) or upload them to a drive? Result files not necessary. I'll run your model to get them.

Hello dear Jose,

I want to model the behavior of the bedload on a fixed bottom, along a concrete channel.
1.The fixed is non-erodible
2.Presents a bedload both at the inlet and outlet of the channel, consists of 1 inlet and 2 outlet
3.In the GEO.slf file specifying the BOTTOM that is the surface of the channel and a VARIABLE 23 that specifies that each node of the channel has adimensionless value equal to 1 (non-erodible).

I was looking for information in e forum and found that to define that the surface is non-erodable is set OPTION FOR THE TREATMENT OF NON ERODABLE BEDS=3, this I have located in the file sisCas.txt.

Hi Yesenia,

Well, attached you will find:
1) Boundary conditions file (Both, T2d and Sis).
2) Steering files (Both, T2d and Sis).
3) Fortran file: noerod.f (subroutine for non-erodible bottoms)
Take a look at changes I made to those files above mentioned (deeply).

Some considerations:
1) It is not possible to set solid discharges at outflow boundaries.
2) If bottom non-erodible, it is logical to have an inflow solid discharge which will be the sediment transported along the domain.
3) If you have a hotstart you will have to make some changes.
I think that is all.

Hi Jose,

The file Hotstar is the result of channel water flow modeling.
¿Is it correct to specify the following in the yesenia_t2d.cas file "PREVIOUS COMPUTATION FILE ='hotStart'"?

Sorry for this late reply.

According to your listing printout, the FORTRAN file (noerod.f) is not working. Probably the problem is the version, find attached one for v7p0r1.
The error seems to be a consequence of bed changes (evolution), so, it should be solved with a fixed bed, FORTRAN file attached should help with that.

Model according to what you sent me but I have 1 inlet and 2 outlet, while running the program give me result of 1 inlet and 1 outlet, please be so kind to help me. What I'm modeling is a rigid non-eroding channel with a bedload at the inlet.
