when i am running sisyphe i am getting an error as the hydrodynamic file is not long enough. what it is mean? how to rectify this

Hi Sangeetha,

You are trying to run SISYPHE as stand alone. In that case it needs a file with the flow velocities and water levels in Selafin format(the Hydrodynamic file). Usually, this is the result file of a TELEMAC run. This file should contain the hydrodynamic conditions for the whole period over which you are calculating the sediment transport. So either you are not providing the hydrodynamic file or it is too short.

The settings of this stand alone simulations are quite tricky. Also, the accuracy of this approach is not as good as the coupled simulations. For this, just add
COUPLING WITH = 'SISYPHE'
COUPLING PERIOD FOR SISYPHE = 1
SISYPHE STEERING FILE = 'ADD THE NAME OF SISYPHE STEEERING FILE HERE'
to your TELEMAC result file.

See one of the examples in the TELEMAC\MASCARET tree (\examples\sisyphe). foulness is a stand alone simulation. All others are coupled simulations.

In the future, can you please add the steering files of your simulations to your questions? This will make it easier to answer them.

I'd would suggest to not to use the stand-alone approach for morphodynamics computations, unless you have a very good reason to do that. In future releases of the Telemac system we will be removing this functionality.
