Hello,

I'd like to simulate the transport of, say, a single dump of silt from a point/area. I'm not interested in transport of sediment elsewhere, just the silt. Can anybody help with the best way to do this?

I can raise the bed at the dump site (to accommodate the dumped silt), then I can set the bed to not erode elsewhere (in noerod.f), but what will happen to the silt when it is transported downstream? - Is it then subject to the no-erode criteria?

Many thanks, Peter

Hello,

sorry for the late answer -- you probably found the solution by now.

just in case, you have to use ZR to set the position non-erodable layer. if ZR=ZF then there is no erosion. With that things can be deposed and get to be suspended again.

Have a look at the wikis, the manuals are there.

Hope this helps.
Sébastien.
