Stacking of the sediments in the inlet boundary 10 years 6 months ago #12875

Hi,

I have some issues with my inlet boundaries for SISYPHE.

The sediments start stacking in, and only in, the first nodes (the liquid boundary node), which induces a massive erosion in the rest of the domain, since there is mainly no sediment income. (Only the bedload transport is accounted for).

However, I know that the imposed sediment transport rate per node is higher than the transport rate normally induced by the water flow. But the point was to progressively generate aggradation throughout the whole domain.

How can I address this problem?

Hi Ismail,

It is difficult to invetigate your problem without being able to see your model files (control file, boundary files etc). However, it sounds like you have closed the boundary for sediments in the boundary file (cli). Is the tracer identifier set to 4 or 5 for the open boundaries?
