Hi!

I remember having read on the website that there is now a bank model erosion implemented in sisyphe, based on Ph.D thesis of Andres Die-Moran.

I am reading this document and I would like to check the implementation in the software but I can't find the relevant subroutine. It seems that the maxslope_mod module mentionned in the Thesis is not available with the sources?

I am more precisely interested to check the driving parameters taken into account in bank erosion, to see if they differ in a way from classic bed erosion processes. Any help or link to further reading on that would also be appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!
Regards
PL

Dear PL,
please refer to the subroutine maxslope.f located in the directory sisyphe/sources

all the best,

Dear Pilou

I am also trying to model bank erosion in telemac2d and Sisyphe. Can you suggest how can we use a simple approach of maximum slope criteria to model the bank erosion?

Or if you have performed any analysis of bank erosion with telemac2d and Sisyphe, I would like to kindly request for your support.

Thank you.

Regards,
Saroj

Dear Saroj,

Sadly I did not dig into this topic further...
I would suggest to start using the max slope method and see if it works with your case. Beware that geotechnical processes like toe erosion, slope steepening and geomechanical failures are not modelled.

Good luck!

Kind regards
PL
