Prescribing a bedload transport rate at the boundary 9 years 8 months ago #16246

Hi

I wish to apply a bedload transport rate at the coastal boundary of my domain to represent a sediment source. The transport rate is spatially varying but constant in time. Based on the manual and other people's posts I tried to do this by changing the values of the boundary conditions file. I am running SISYPHE and TELEMAC2D internally coupled and they are using the same boundary conditions file. I modified the boundary file such that if I wished to apply a bedload transport rate of 0.0001 m2/s for global and boundary node number 1, the corresponding line in the boundary conditions file is:

4 5 5 0.0001 0 0 0 4 0 0 0 1 1

When I evaluated the results, I have found that the bed evolves at the specified nodes however SOLID DISCH XY = 0 and QS BEDLOAD = 0. I interpret this to mean that the bed is evolving because I have applied a fluid flow, where as I actually want to apply a sediment transport rate so that QS BEDLOAD = 0.0001 at my prescribed nodes.

Can anyone explain to me how to correct this please?

Thanks

Fay
