open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello everyone,

i have a short question about which modules i have to use (version v7p0). I want to model in a river sediment transport (bed evolution) in combination with suspended load.
For hydrodynamic i use telemac3d and for bed evolution and sediment transport Sisype, which is clear. But where i have to define the parameters for suspended load? Basically it is possible in both, or? If i implement the parameters in the t3d.cas file directly it uses the module Sedi3d internally?

Hello,

Yes, suspended load is possible in both programs, but it is normally better in Telemac-3D as it is 3D. In this case the parameters of the sediment are given in Telemac-3D steering file.

Ok so i have to define the suspended sediment as tracers in telemac3d and the available keywords, similar to the erosion_flume example? But nevertheless for the parameters for bed load transport i have to create a sisyphe file and couple it with t3d, and deactivate there suspended load, or?
Is there an example of coupling Telemac3d(hydrodynamic+suspendedload) with Sisyphe?

Hello,

Yes, you must activate only bedload on Sisyphe side. The examples of such coupling are "rouse" and "depot".
