Hi,
I need your help for running Telemac2d on Windows 7 32 bit.
I have installed Telemac 2d correctly in C:\TELEMAC so to avoid blanks. Than I downloaded from the website the folder telemac2d.tar with the exempla contained in the folder .gb and taken from it one of the file cas.txt and simply copied it in C.
Than I used the Prompt Command Windows and I wrote this command: C:\>telemac2dV6P0 cas.txt. No results, just an explanation which says that telemac2dV6PO is not recognised as an internal/external command or as an exe file or batch file (even if it is the name of the exe file in the TELEMAC installed folder!!).

Please help me!!What did I make wrongly?
cheers.

Hello,

The command is just : telemac2d cas.txt

There is no need of adding the version number.

thank you for the suggestion Jean-Michel,
but the problem remains also writing just telemac2d!!!
Do you have any other suggestions? Seem to be that the exe file telemac2d is not readable!

This may be related to your installation of perl. telemac2d is a perl executable.

Hello,

How did you install Telemac? Using the setup file (ifort only) or manually?
Which fortran compiler are you using?

If 'telemac2d' is not recognized, it seems that the PATH environment variable is not well positioned..
And then, that your install is not complete.

You will find more information in the installation note and in
the online FAQ.

Best regards,

Fabien

Did you install perl BEFORE telemac as its indicate in the manual?
There is nothing to do with perl.
If you installed Perl and Telemac corectly, when you type telemac2d with the name of your steering file, this is equivalent to launch a program named telemac2d.bat which is in the bin directory of Telemac with some arguments.
This program lauch automatically a perl script which manage the Telemac computation.

So if your message is telemac2d is not recognized, that probably means you didn't make all the steps of installation.

At the end of the setup command, there is automatically a small perl script which is launched to finalise the installation. This script leave a command windows open with a message and you should type ENTER to close this window.

Try to reinstall Telemac
