Hello,
I have some problem running telemac2d (V6p0).
Last week I installed strawberry and telemac2d (V6P0) on a windows system and I didn’t have any problem if I try to run a simple case study, where any subroutine compilation is required. On the contrary, if I try to compile a FORTRAN FILE using the command into the steering file I have this error:

ERROR: “ File ‘bief.mod’ opened at [1] is not a GFORTRAN module file " (see picture attached)

I’m using gfotran as fortran compiler. I think something happens related to the compilation processes because using the old telemac2d version (V5P6) and Visual Fortran Compilar 6 everything is ok.
I also attached the systel.ini file in order to give you all the informatio.

Do you have any suggestions to fix the problem?
Many thanks!!
Cheers,
adom

Hi Alessio

You installed the intel fortran version. And you try to compile with Gfortran.
This is incompatible and you have this message.

If you don't have Intel fortran compiler, you should make a full compilation of Telemac with Gfortran in order to have a full Gfortran version on your computer. Then when you will run your simulation (with your own fortran file) the compilation will be possible.

Thanks for the quick reply!
But now I have another problem. I’m sorry if it’s a stupid question but how can I make a full compilation with gfortran? I followed the guide for the compilation but if I do “makeall90” from the dos prompt nothing happens.
The guide also refers to the file “makefile.gfo” and to the file maktel.bat in the directory bin. I should edit the latter but it’s empty and I don’t really understand how to modify it. Which is the perl file in the bin directory that must be updated in makeall90.pl?
Please, can you give me some more detailed information?
Thank you very much in advance

Alessio

Read carefully the guide of compilation.
You should first download the sources and configure the systel.ini file in order to define the right configuration
Then use install_systel.bat and compile
The makefile.gfo exist in each directory of the telemac sources.
Maktel.bat is just a launcher for the compilation...
