Bonjour,

J'ai cru comprendre que la version 6.0 de Telemac était disponible, mais je ne la trouve pas dans la catégorie "téléchargement" du forum. Je voudrais savoir comment me procurer cette version.

Cordialement,

Un peu de patience, elle arrive!Quelques ajustements de dernière minute ont retardés sa mise en ligne ...

Has anyone used gfortran to compile Telemac 6.0, and was able to make it work. I am not familiar with the software, so I am getting a little bit confused with the instructions.

Yes, we had gfortran working on Linux and on Windows. In configuration file systel.ini, choose HOSTTYPE=gfortran_linux on Linux and gfortran on Windows. Our only problem left is parallelism on Windows. It seems that MPI is only available as dll libraries and is not understood by the gfortran compiler (any help welcome).

I have a couple of more questions since trying to run the mersey tutorial, I am obtaining a fatal error. I have attached the error and a copy of my system.ini file.
I am using Windows 7 on my computer and the the Telemac folder is C:\telemac

As previously mentioned I am using gfortran with fudaa prepro.

User Variable (Path)
C:\Program Files\gfortran\libexec\gcc\i586-pc-mingw32\4.6.0;C:\Program Files\gfortran\bin

System Variable (Path)
C:\Perl\site\bin;C:\Perl\bin;
C:\telemac\V6P0\bin

Also, Is there anything I need to change the path in the Perl Directory since its now part of the bin directory and do I need to change ifort to gfortran.
Under Windows + Intel Fortran 9.0 Section. Thanks for your help since its greatly appreciated.

It is a problem of perl installation. In our example of configuration file systel.ini, there is the address of directory bin and directory lib of perl. It is said that this may not be mandatory if perl is already installed on your computer. I would say it is necessary here. Try to put it, do not forget to run the command cfgmak after, and retry. The bin directory of Telemac must also be in your path and it is different from the perl directory. This Telemac directory contains the file tm_dico.pm which is the one inaccessible in your problem. If this is not sufficient please ask and I'll discuss this with colleagues. Regards, JMH

Hello,

I got past that error and now I am getting an error with BIEF, that is it can't find the module bief.mod. Do you know how I can get around that or is there something I am missing. I attached a copy of the image file of the error.

Thanks for your help since its greatly appreciated.

Hello,

You should check if anything went wrong when compiling the BIEF library.

You must find the following files in C:\telemac\V6P0\bief\bief_v6p0\gfortran (according to your settings) :
- bief.mod
- bief_def.mod
- declarations_telemac.mod
- m_med.mod
- streamline.mod

& biefv6p0.lib

If not, you should rebuild the Bief library (maktel install in the sources directory)

Best regards,

Yes, I agree with ails. If bief.mod is not into :

C:\telemac\V6P0\bief\bief_v6p0\gfortran

something went wrong during compilation. bief.mod may however still be in the sources directory of bief and you can copy it manually. This can happen when bief.obj has an unexpected form, but as we tested gfortran so this is strange.
