Hi there,

I've just installed the executable version of Telemac system for windows (V6) and strawberry perl (V5.12.1.0). I've also added the C:\TELEMAC\V6P0\bin directory to my path.

Whenever I run telemac2d I get the following error message:

FATAL: Module <tm_info> inaccessible.
BEGIN failed--compinlation aborted at c:\TELEMAC\V6P0\bin/runtel.pl line 273.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Many thanks,
Rory

Hello Rory,

I think that it is due to an incorrect use of forward-slashes and not back-slashes when you added the bin directory to your PATH : See : C:\TELEMAC\V6P0\bin / runtel.pl

I did not see it at once but Fabien Decung could reproduce the message by doing the same mistake and kindly gave me the information.

With best regards,

Jean-Michel

Hi

As the other users, you installed telemac before installing perl.
So the perl script which is normally executed at the end of the installation didn't work and update some telemac parameters located in the systel.ini file.
You should run one more time the install script which is located in the telemac\install\win derectory. You just have to click twice on the install_systel.bat file.

After that, telemac should run properly.

It seems to me that the slashes are OK for windows (that's the contrary on Linux!)
This problem is typicaly comming from a not updated systel.ini

Hello there,

Many thanks for your advice. I did what you suggested and it's fixed that problem. I'm not getting 'ifort' error messages. Do I need to have the intel fortran compiler to run telemac?

Thanks a lot, Rory

Hi Rory

On windows version, Fortran compiler is requested only if you want to add your own fortran programming to the telemac execution.
If you run a simple simulation (without using the keyword FORTRAN FILE) it's not necessary for you to have Intel fortran compiler installed on your computer
