open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello everyone,

I'm running a TELEMAC 3D model of an estuary. When I'm using only 5 horizontal levels, the model is working. But when I try 10 horizontal levels, the model fails to run after only few iterations. Apparently, the velocity W goes up to 5000 m/s at the entrance of one affluent. I have no idea to solve this issue. Does someone can please help me with this ?

For info, I tried to use other turbulence models (constant viscosity, k-epsilon) and the model is running until the end without any problem.

I did not solve my problem, but I succeeded to get better results in modifying my bathymetry (too sharp in some places) and modifying the sigma transformation.

I will be pleased to have your help on this.

Thanks Riadh for your help. I'm currently working on a better version of the mesh. I clearly see the problem with the two first snapshots, but what's wrong with the third one?

There is direct connection between the two boundaries of the small "lake".
This should works but not recommended
