open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi

I have very low vertical velocities within a tidal model in comparison with field data. Model vertical velocities approx. 0.02 m/s (w) whereas field measurement up to 0.3 m/s.

I have tried many variations (number of horizontal levels 3;5;10;15, mixing length, k-epsilon, with-without tracers) and read other forum posts on similar topics. Am I missing something in my cas?


Do i need many more horizontal levels >15 or do i need much more computation time (I have simulated up to 3 days model time which takes 5 days to complete).
