Hello all,
I had difficulty to create hotstart from telemac3d result file. I know how to make the hotstart from the 2D result. However, it is not working for the 3D result.

I would appreciate if you could explain how you create hotstart from the last time step of 3d result file to be used as a previous computation file. are there any matlab or python scripts to be used for this purpose?

What do you mean by having "difficulty to create hotstart from telemac3d result file"? You are able to generate a 3D RESULT FILE but are not able to do a computation continuation from this file? Or your computation crashes?

You can do a 2D continuation with TELEMAC-3D from a TELEMAC-2D result file (see the 2D CONTINUATION + FILE FOR 2D CONTINUATION in the T3D user manual).
You can do a proper an accurate 3D continuation with TELEMAC-3D with the RESTART MODE + RESTART FILE keywords (see the same user manual) in a preliminary T3D computation. Then use the generated file with the PREVIOUS COMPUTATION FILE keyword.

Hello Sanaz,

Be careful with the format expected if you use this 3D option (double precision) as written in the documentation.
With single precision, the restart is not accurate enough.
