Hello everyone,

I want to change my correct 2-D steering file change into a 3-D steering file.

I can start my steering file, but i get following error code.

Does anyone have an idea how I can solve the problem?

Error code:

Program received signal SIGFPE: Floating-point exception - erroneous arithmetic operation.

Hi
As this is a parallel run I would say you should first try to run in sequential mode to have a better vision of the problem itself...
If it run well in sequential, the you should use the debugger option and look into all the listing file

Hope this helps

Thanks for the fast reply.

I set 'COMPUTATIONAL CONTINUED' = NO . But I think this isn't the right way.
Can I change the parallel run into a sequential one in the steering file?

But at least I get a different error message:

DEBIMP_3D: PROBLEM ON BOUNDARY NUMBER 1
GIVE A VELOCITY PROFILE
IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS FILE
OR CHECK THE WATER DEPTHS
OTHER POSSIBLE CAUSE:
SUPERCRITICAL ENTRANCE WITH FREE DEPTH

So there must be a problem at the boundary condition 1.

Could this be possible if I have already corrected such an error in 2D?

Thank you a lot.

You remove the initial condition which leads to this error.
your steering file doesn't indicate a number of processors for parallel computing...
Which command did you use to run the simulation?
You could also try to print all time-step into the listing...

Oh, yes of course. The initial condition is part again of the steering file.

So if the steering file doesn't indicate a number of processors, this is a sequential mode?

I use this command:
telemac3d.py steering_file.cas

I try to print all time-steps

According to this command, you're in sequential mode.
Sometimes, when you run on cluster, the number of processors could be given at the launch step...
So strange to have a mpiexec written in your listing if you run in sequantial.
Maybe this is linked to your configuration if you compile only the parallel version and you use it with only 1 processor...
The detailed listing should help and think to also join your config file

I've got the latest version: v8p0r0 ; rev. #13470
I don't know what you mean with 'join your config file'. Join to my steering file?
This should be the right path:

... parsing configuration file: /home/Programs/Telemac/v8p0r0/configs/systel.cfg

I'm not sure what I have to do now.

Thank you very much.
