Hi,

I specified various fixed levels (TRANSF_PLANE = 3) in the middle of the water column and sigma elsewhere (close to free surface and bottom). Yet, there are shallow regions in my model domain with water depth smaller than the altitude of the fixed levels I specified.

I was wondering what actually happened to the model to accommodate this and would it affect the convergence and stability of the model?

Thank you!

The fixed levels will also be moved up in the shallow areas and will continue as tiny 'crushed' layers. The user manual section 4.1 elaborates on this a bit more.
