hi eveybody,

after a power cut during a simulation, I tried to merge the files of the unfinished simulation by

telemac3d.py --ncsize=4 --merge cas_file.txt -w /directory/of/the/simulation

but I received this error : here the end

WRITING DATASET NO.         712  TIME =   2563200.00    

 WRITING DATASET NO.         713  TIME =   2566800.00    

 WRITING DATASET NO.         714  TIME =   2570400.00     

 ERROR         1000 DURING CALL OF GRETEL:GET_DATA_VALUE

 ERROR TEXT: HERMES_RECORD_UNKNOWN_ERR                                                                                                                                                                               

 ERROR IN T3DHYD00003-00001: RECORD: 715          IS NOT WITHIN [0, 714         ]

note: coupling t3d and tom

Hi Josias,

As you can observe the last line in the error ' ERROR IN T3DHYD00003-00001: RECORD: 715 IS NOT WITHIN [0, 714 ]' it means that the one of the partitioned result is written one more step (715) that others (714).

You can work around this by chopping the individual partition in place (overwrite in same temp folder) to some common time step which has been written for each partition result T3DHYD00003 (say step 714 or 713) and then use the merge command.

This should solve your problem.

pham OFFLINE Administrator Posts: 1559 Thank you received: 602	Hello, You have an option for script run_telfile.py alter which enables to keep a sample of recordings in results file or partitioned files. Please use the help to know more about option -f and -s: run_telfile.py alter -h This may be a way to get every partioned result file with the same number of writings to be able to merge them via gretel.
