Dear Users,

Can anyone please advise what below parameters stand for in Telemac. I have to set them up in telemac3d cas file or maybe in fortran to get similar results for same test my colleague runs in Fluidity, but it is not too obvious to me how to enter them in telemac.

Kinematic Viscosity = 1.8E-6 m^2/s
Temperature Diffusivity = 0.01 m^2/s
Salinity Diffusivity = 0.01 m^2/s

Also can I specify Eddy viscosity as 0.01 or Reynolds number as 10^6 as that what I need to get at the end of simulation unless there are other parameters that I might need to change in order to get desirable numbers. Thanks a mil.

Kind Regards!

Hello,

The kinematic viscosity is :

COEFFICIENT FOR HORIZONTAL DIFFUSION OF VELOCITIES
COEFFICIENT FOR VERTICAL DIFFUSION OF VELOCITIES

If your turbulent model is not 1 (if it is 1 these values are the turbulent viscosities).

For temperature or salinity, it is with the same principle:

COEFFICIENT FOR HORIZONTAL DIFFUSION OF TRACERS
COEFFICIENT FOR VERTICAL DIFFUSION OF TRACERS

it should be an array in case you have different values for different tracers, but this is not done yet.

With best regards,
