Hello,

This topic has been partly answered in previous posts but not fully.

How is it now possible to model the evolution of dissolved and suspended pollutant particle (say, heavy metals) that can be adsorbed by sediments and move by deposition and erosion on and from the seabed?

SUBIEF was able to do this in the past, although it was apparently not taking erosion and bedload evolution into account. Today, can SISYPHE be used together with TELEMAC using appropriate user-defined tracer sources (in the SOURCE_TRAC file) so that the full sediment transport physics may be taken into account?

Or should Delwaq be rather used - provided it is able to do that?

Thank you very much for your help!
JBS.

Hello,

As we have in coupling both sediment variables and tracers it is now possible, but nobody did it yet, I mean nobody produced the relevant user subroutines that would give the source and sink terms that correspond to the absorption of pollutants in sediments.

Regards,

JMH

Thank you M. Hervouet,

Then I have the following questions about Subief:

1/ is it still possible to get help on Subief2d (and 3d) - online or not - as it is exactly doing what I am looking for and not depending on Telemac version? Should I contact some dedicated engineer for this peculiar question?...

2/ is it anyhow possible to retrieve Subief3d executable and source files today (for free or not) eventhough it is officially said "old-fashioned" ? (we already own Subief2d files since it was purchased from Sogreah a long time ago)

Yes, T3D+SEDI3D are able to solve such equations but not flexible enough to the user unfortunately. Please tell us if this is planned in a near future.

Merci d'avance de votre aide et disponibilité.
Cordialement,
JBS.
