Dear Users,

I am running a Tidal simulation in North Sea. The bathymetry looks ok, i think. Tidal amplitudes and velocities all in normal range and match the data quite well.

However, I am getting higher velocities on few points in domain. I suspect it is due to the bathymetry (as it is quite shallow there) and coastal shape. It is on open boundary. It looks like it does not affect results. I have attached two figures: one with whole domain and questioned area in the box, and another one is just bigger scale of the box area.

I just want to understand why this happens and if there is any way to eliminate it. I cut that area out of my bathymetry in another simulation run, but still got same results. It also could be due to the tidal propagation. I have attached my cas file, just in case. Please advise. Thanks a mil.

Kind Regards!

Violeta
