open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi,
In TELEMAC 3D , i came across the keyword
'OPTION FOR THE DIFFUSION' that can be set with any one of the following options
1)implicit diffusion
2)split horizontal-vertical

The following are my queries

a) Would you brief me the difference between IMPLICIT DIFFUSION and SPLIT HORIZONTAL-VERTICAL?

b)I believe that the diffusion terms are present not only in Momentum equation, but also in TRACER and K-e equations. So, Is 'OPTION FOR THE DIFFUSION' applied for all the three (VELOCITIES, TRACERS, K-e)?

Hello,

Option 2 is never used, it is only an attempt to optimise the solution of the linear system at the end of diffusion, so it should not change the results(and moreover the idea is used in the preconditioning 17). I plan to remove this option.
