Velocity PROJECTED ON THE LATERAL BOUNDARY

Hello,
I am aware of the option VELOCITY PROJECTED ON SOLID LATERAL BOUNDARIES which ensures U.n = 0 at the end of each time.
How is this option numerically implemented (the solid boundary is not perfectly parallel or normal to the coordinate system)? In a simple way my question is 'How is the velocity components u & v converted to the form U.n=0'?

Hello,
The normal vectors are not really defined on nodes between segments, but we do it anyway by averaging between the 2 neighbouring segments. This is done taking into account the length of nearby segments. Then the part of the velocity which is normal (u.n then) is removed from the velocity.
