I also find the NMAX value in homere_telemac3d.f and interface_telemac3d.f and I changed those to 3000 in my f-file and now it is working!

OK, so we should also have a keyword stating the maximum number of parameters, to replace all these hardcoded values. I put this officially in the todo list, but it will probably not be done in the next version which is too close to a release now.

I got the model to work yesterday with 29 sources and 13 tracers. Now I am at the next problem - I want to have 23 tracers and found that the maximum number of tracers is 20. So I changed MAXTRA in DECLARATIONS_TELEMAC3D.f but it still doesn't work. I don't get the error message that I have too many tracers after that modification so I don't know what the problem is. Do I need to change more parameters that depends on MAXTRA to compute the 23 tracers? Or is it not possible to calculate more than 20 tracers?

Officially changing MAXTRA should work, unless there is another limit, e.g. MAXVAR is at 100 but you probably do not have more than 100 named variables for the outputs.

A possible issue is that you have to recompile all Telemac-2D after changing MAXTRA.

In the next version MAXTRA will be a keyword, and we found (so far) no hidden hardcoded other value related to tracers, but we did not test 23 tracers yet.

Thanks for the help! I will recompile and see if that solves the problem (by the way, it is Telemac 3D and not 2D).

What is BETAC DIM?

This message is in lecdon_telemac3d.f and it is printed when NTRAC.GT.MAXTRA so it is a hint that not all Telemac-3D has been recompiled. Information on BETAC is obsolete and we'll change it in the next release.

Hi Jean-Michel!

I found your keyword for MAXTRA, very smooth!

Unfortunately, it is not a solution to my current problem. I have a T3D model with 7 liquid boundaries and 18 point sediment sources (using SEDI-3D) and the model runs without any error messages. Although, only 16 of my 18 sources seem to have any discharge. I have 3 tracers of each source, namely temperatur, sediment and a regular tracer.

Do you have an idea of why these last to point sources aren't included?

How do you give the discharges? If it is in the parameter file I would hint a problem of line length?
